Publications

From September 2012 to September 2017 I was active as a PhD student at the Internet and Data Lab research group (IDLab) which is part of the Department of Information Technology of Ghent University and imec in Flanders. My research interests included network and application protocols for resource-constrained devices, security, the Internet of Things, the Web of Things and Low Power Wide Area Networks. My research focused on operational issues in resource-constrained RESTful environments and resulted in numerous international publications. Much of the research was carried out in the context of research projects with Flemish SMEs. In September 2017 I successfully defended my dissertation on ‘Improving Efficiency, Usability and Scalability in a Secure, Resource-Constrained Web of Things’.

Royalty-free copies of publications where I am the first author are provided below. Please contact me for copies of other publications where I am a co-author.
